Maybe I should share this with you.  I am hopeful It can work for you too.

My hubby bought me a heating blanket just 2 nights ago and yes, i already feel relief.  I have pains all the time but when I am under the warm blanket, it is not so intense.  It is so much better.  Omg, it's the best gift everrr ! Thank you.

Merci.

Tonight, they are both gone.  I miss you bud.  I really do...  RIP hun xoxo

April 22 2012

Today, my mom and dad drove here to help me out.  I guess my FB post yesterday made an impact but it wasn't meant for them.  They have been help when they can, the whole way.  Mother is very understanding and compassionate.  She walked in with a smile and right away saw the swelling in my feet and was worried about the left being worst than the right foot.
Do you want to see the doctor Nat today?  No, what are they going to say?  Yap, you're swelling up like a blowfish !...

She understands with at a glance.  She understands what is said in silence.  She understands when most don't.  Most don't want to understand.

Thank you mom, Thanks again!

Maman merci, encore merci!

April 21 2012

I have come to another realization that I will never be able to do everything I used to do, well at least not the same way.

  • I have to submit to my disease.
  • I have to make changes in my everyday lifestyle
  • I have to learn to say NO
  • I have to know my limits
  • I have to stop feeling guilty for whom I have become

I can't finish things I start.  My daily housework isn't done the way I would do it.  My meals are not as elaberate as they used to be. I can't enjoy people.  I lost my concentration. I have another personality.  I can't accept the side effects of Fibro !  I want to live again!

Everything that Fibro is, is the absolute opposite of who I am !

I have decided to sell off the rest of my hens.  Right now, 9pm and the eggs are still in the coop.  Thank God, this morning I checked on the feed and water but I never could return to do my daily duties.  No one else in this household has interest.  I don't have a choice, I must do what must be done.

Beware, when your spark fades out, your eyes tell the world...

  • Je dois me soumettre à ma maladie.

Joke Break !

'Hello, is this the St Johns Police?'

'Yes. What can I do for you?'

'I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Jack Murphy...He's hidin' Marijuana inside his firewood!
Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he's hidin' it there..' 'I just know it!!'

'Thank you very much for the call, sir. We will look right into that tip. '

The next day, six St Johns Police Officers descend on Jack's house. They Search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes,
they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Jack and leave as they found nothing.
Shortly, the phone rings at Jack's house.

'Hey, Jack! This here's Floyd....Did the Police come?'
'Yeah!'

'Did they chop your firewood?'
'Yep!'

'Happy Birthday, buddy!'

Newfies know how to get'er done!!

March 20 2012

I will get right to the point.      I am upset !

You know my illness and yet, you find a way to make a joke about it? Was it a joke? If it was, it wasn't funny. Matter of fact, it was ignorant, cold and just plain rude. You hurt my feelings. For days, I doubted myself. Was I now lazy? Could I give a little more each day? Enough, I will not be one of your victims. Abuse is never justified so, i will never feel that it is my fault !

Abuse is the improper usage or treatment for a bad purpose, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, sexual assault, violation, rape, unjust practices; wrongful practice or custom; offense; crime, or otherwise verbal aggression.

Using words to shame. Critical, sarcastic, mocking words meant to put you down either alone or in front of other people. Verbal abuse and name calling is a form of brainwashing. It causes the victim to doubt his or her own judgment. It is no wonder you’ve begun to doubt your own reality…that you are an intelligent man who can identify abuse from loving behavior.

Being called names.  Any negative form of name calling is unacceptable. If you feel that it is a put down, then it most likely is. There are names that are obvious and, without question abusive. Then there are the covert, veiled attempts to put you down that are harder to identify. Verbal abusers love to use constructive criticism to beat you down. If this person is constantly criticizing you, “for your own good,” be careful. This is the most insidious form of verbal abuse.

Anyone that knows me, knows I never stop. I am into everything and anything. I am spontaneous, curious, active, even a little nutty but never lazy.

I will only demand respect from you or anyone else that crosses my life but your time is up....

Point final....

February 2012

Mom calls and all happy says, I will bring some freshly homemade bread to you this morning.  "Fabulous mom, you’re the best.  I can't believe you already have bread made this early, at what time did you wake up this morning? Gosh!! Ok, I'll be here..."

Sharp pains, what the hell, it's not even 8am yet....sharp pains in my chest again, arghhhh

I thought I was having a heart attack! Never had one before.  I skipping beats but not this.   I called mom back to tell her to never mind, I was calling the ambulance but dad says she had already left. Was like a knife right in my chest each time. Gosh, not fun at all.  I absolutely thought I wasn't going to make it. It was spasmodic then constant chest pains.

Finally mom got home.  She brings on the bread dough and she wanted to get it in the pans.  "Mom, honestly, we have no time for this, I must get to the hospital right away. I had called you but you already had left, I was going to call for an ambulance, so please never mind the bread and let's go.  I will wait for you in the Expedition"...

Not even to the highway, mom knows it's not going well and the pains were unbelievable.  I said” keep on going, before they get here, we will already be in Moncton...let's go.... "   It hits me again and she says nope,  I am calling 911 and I am not driving you there like this.

Wait, and wait, Pain and few minutes later pain again...  It seems to have taken them an hour...

They are asking all the questions when you really can't talk or don't really want to chat at that time, just like in the dentist chair, have you noticed? lollllll...  anyways, they moved me onto the bed and in the back of the ambulance.  Nitro here, Intravenous there, it got better, bit by bit got better.  The nurse was so sweet and really asked me what could have brought this on.  What kind of day I had so far?  What I did for a living? And finally she realized that I had a lot on my plate.  Maybe I should make some changes so this maybe hopefully never happens again.  In Moncton Hospital, in the ICU, Getting testing for all and everything EKG, poke here, didn't work so called an "expert" to poke some more...  Everything is so freaking dramatic.  Asking how's the pain every 10 seconds.

I was moved into again another room and there I could wait for the results with my mother and there comes my hubby, all worried.  Seeing me in the bed with oxygen tubes up my nose and IV's and really exhausted from all that emotional and physical commotion.

an hour passed?  Hubby is outside, mother in the washroom and a female doc comes in with a pad and pen, head down to tell me the test showed no heart attack and I just experienced Indigestion, she gives me a prescription for antacids and leaves the room.

Again, I wanted to kill the doctor!   I .... I .....   I got the hell out of there before someone got hurt!

Even doctors are quick to make idiots out of us.
Not just your neighbors or strangers on FB. !!

December 31 2011

I had, for the few days, this feeling.  Hard to know what it is, to describe, to understand, but there is something there.  Something new, something isn't right.  Not liking the feeling at all actually but what can you do?  You have Fibro.  You deal with it !

Alone in the kitchen doing the dishes.  The kids are out with friends and hubby is at work coming home soon, I hope.  I wouldn't mind having some company.  The lonely feeling is a bit much to take right now.  Tears are now running down my cheeks.  I stop for a min and it hits me like a ton of bricks.

Confusion, anger, loneliness, anxiousness...it's too much.  I have to calm down...  I have to calm down right now.   A Shower, I need to calm down, get in the shower.  Why?  Do I?  What are you doing?

I get in the shower fast.  Something is wrong.  I am loosing control.  I have lost total control ... I am talking to myself.  This is not normal, I must get out of here.  Should I?  What would they say when I die?  Did I finish the dishes?  Would they even come?  Sh

Dripping on the floor, I grabbed the phone and hesitant to call..who am I calling?  What would they do? No ones cares anyways.  I put the phone down.

I pick up the phone.  I have to call someone...dialingggg 9-1-1.  She gets on the phone and blah blah, I need an ambulance I think..... Blah Blah, something is wrong....Blah, blah, I got to go...put the phone down, I will get dressed and .... ...

When I returned to the kitchen, I saw the phone on the table, I picked it up "Hello?..."  I can here the operator "Are you ok?  do not put the phone down, stay with me..."  ..  "Hi there,  I got dressed !... I feel a bit better now.  ..  I don't know what the hell is going on.  It might be my meds.  I think it just might be my meds ! "

The paramedics were now in the house.  They were studying my behavior trough my eyes.  I made sure to keep eye contact with them and smiling.  I felt better and embarrassed.  I asked if I could put the bread in the oven before we lost the batch, they agreed.  The aroma filled the kitchen.  She wanted to take my vitals and continued the conversation.  In the mean time, I told the other standing in the back that if they were taking things slow, they were in for a treat as my homemade bread was about 30 mins away to be ready.  I know it was hard to say no but I guess they had to... protocol I assume.  BP high but stable.  Meds faded away, I felt ok so I refused to go to the emerge.  But I did call my Pharmacist and an urgent call to my doctor to be seen now !

From that moment on, I understood what SIDE EFFECTS are and how dangerous they can be.

Pourquoi ?  Puis-je ?  Qu'est-ce que tu fais?

Une douche rapide.  Quelque chose n'est pas normal.  Je perd contrôle.  Tu as perdu contrôle …Je me parle.?

Ce qu'ils vont me faire ?

»...  « Bonjour, je suis habillé!... Je me sens un peu mieux maintenant.  ..

June 2011

To be honest with you, I probably brought this disease onto myself because :

  • I never knew how to de-stress.
You have to be number 1 in your life but instead, i gave my life to my work, family, friends and others.

  • Then physically
I abused my body in various ways:  I was a full time smoker since I have 21, when I married and stopped all my sports, got kids, opened a business company, high stress life, drank a pot of coffee daily, got into serious accidents and worst, I ate takeout 4-5 times a week'  All added together, your body at a certain point tells Enough.

"I have been trying to tell you for years to lesson but you didn't, you wouldn't ...Now, are you?"

Maintenant, m'entend-tu ?"

Fibromyalgia Symptoms

By , About.com Guide
Updated September 02, 2011
About.com Health's Disease and Condition content is reviewed by the Medical Review Board

You've probably read about fibromyalgia symptoms such as pain, fatigue and fibro fog, but the list of possible signs and symptoms of fibromyalgia are far-reaching and body-wide. Many of these fibromyalgia symptoms also can be caused by other ailments and this list isn't intended as a diagnostic tool. Knowing the full range of symptoms, however, can help youtrack them either to help your doctor reach a diagnosis or to help you identify triggers.
